PermaLink NotesSQL 3.0.2c08/05/2003 08:34 PM
It seems that a good amount of my Google traffic comes from folks looking for information about NotesSQL. The latest version can be found here.

We typically use the NotesSQL driver for connecting Crystal Reports 8.0 (no longer supported by Crystal Decisions) to Domino via ODBC. The majority of our reports actually run via the native driver, however, our more complex reports are being converted to ODBC. It has been my experience that the ODBC driver via NotesSQL will out perform the native driver. The native driver is a supported Lotus Domino Server driver that installs with Crystal Reports 8. The word is that there is no support for the native driver in Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise 9. Supposedly, native driver support for Domino will be released with Crystal Reports / Crystal Enterprise 10. It's hard to say if that will happen now that Business Objects is aquiring Crystal Decisions.

Hi,
<br>I am connecting to Lotus Notes through JDBC-ODBC from a Java class. I would like to navigate through the Inbox from my java class, read mail.
<br>I am able to retrieve data for "From", "Date Received", "Subject" but not the message body. How do I read the message contents of a message in the Inbox? What should the query be like?
<br>Thanks in advance!

The documentation would know. It's possible that you would need to use the even older v2 of the NotesSQL driver. However, I'm not sure where you could download this. I might have it somewhere.

The notes fields I access in excel come accross with number titles, not the column title I gave them in Notes. (instead of "revenue" the field will come over "_129"

When I retrieve data into MS Access, all of the fields contain #DELETE

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob
